Netherrealm Studios (NRS) revealed on it’s Twitch channel yesterday the final kombatant that will join the Mortal Kombat X roster come March 1. Having terrorized Ellen Ripley in the deep recesses of space for more than three decades in film, the Alien xenomorph now turns it’s attention to the cast of Mortal Kombat X.
The Sega Dreamcast may be the most beloved console of all time despite it’s incredibly short lifespan. To hear someone talk about it, you’d think it was the greatest console ever made, and in some respects it was—just no one was paying attention at the time. What about now? Would today’s video game consumers approach the Sega Dreamcast and all of it’s amazing titles differently if the system relaunched with support for modern displays, ethernet, and a new user interface? A new gameplay trailer of Mortal Kombat X’s Kombat Pack 2 was released today and to say I’m excited would be an understatement. Christmas? Meh. New Years? Meh. Leatherface, Triborg, Bo’ Rai Cho, and (I can’t believe it’s actually real!) Alien? An overwhelming yes!
