A Case of the Mondays: New Releases on 11.10.15

It happens every year, more games come out than I can possibly keep up with and I sometimes still buy them knowing they’ll sit on my shelf untouched for months (I’m looking at you Fallout New Vegas). Anyways, this week is getting off to a huge start with some serious blockbusters to close out the year with. Continue reading to see which titles are hitting this Tuesday.

Fallout 4 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
People have been counting down the months since this was announced  back in June and the general consensus among reviewers seems to be mostly positive. Both Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas were huge games with lots of content for players to discover. I’d love to tell you that I’m ready to hunker down for another apocalyptic quest in a barren wasteland, but the truth is I’m so buried by purchases I’ve yet to finish, picking up Fallout 4 would simply add to an already over stacked plate of gluttonous video game consumption. Once I’m streaming games from my other consoles and/or PC I’ll start playing New Vegas, then we’ll see about Fallout 4 after that.

Rise of the Tomb Raider (Xbox One)
For those of you not interested in venturing out into a barren wasteland full of mutated marauders and dogs, you’re in luck. Rise of the Tomb Raider looks to expand on the successful 2013 Tomb Raider reboot that captured so many people’s attention. Contrary to its predecessor however, all eyes are on Lara Croft this time to see if this sequel will live up to the expectations laid upon it. One has to wonder though if releasing it on the same day as a title like Fallout 4 won’t steal some of its fire.

Superbeat: Xonic (PSVITA)
This little gem popped up on my feed early this morning and I’ve got a soft spot for any PSVita game trying to make a name for itself so thought it was worth mentioning. You’ll be able to take this rhythm game on the go with over 50 different tracks from genres including RnB, indie pop, progressive metal and more. I won’t be running out to buy this, but maybe this December for the Playstation Experience I’ll be buy it my flight over.
