The Moment I Pooped Myself Playing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is full of great gameplay, gorgeous cut-scenes, and poop inducing action sequences. After extracting Emmerich from a Russian base, I came face to face for the first time with Metal Gear “Sahelanthropus” and it’s handler Skull Face. This bi-pedal nuclear war machine that resembles Metal Gear Rex towers above the rocky cliffs of Afghanistan and emits a lifelike terrifying roar.

Upon reaching the chopper I’d hoped it was over, but shortly thereafter the Metal Gear continued it’s assault with rockets aimed right at us, jeopardizing the life of the pilot, my dog D.D., and myself. Naturally, I manned the gun turret and unloaded a boat full of ammunition on this thing only to see it launch itself into the air right at us! It’s at this point ladies and gentlemen that I pooped myself.

Stuff like this is why we play video games. When a scene can evoke so much frenetic excitement and uncertainty as to what the outcome will be, it has passed that thin line between a good game and a great game. Be sure to check out my video below, and leave me a comment as to what you thought and what your reaction to this scene was while playing it.
